Visiting our locomotive takes place at a working railway shop – at the site of G. Tim-Co. Ltd., depending on the specific event, either in the engine shed shared with the Hungarian State Railways, or in front of the turntable. Therefore, we kindly ask you to carefully read these instructions and acknowledge them with your signature at the beginning of your visit. The latter signature is necessary to enter the site; without accepting the rules below, the visitor will not be allowed into the railway shop area. We emphasize that according to the mutual agreement of G. Tim-Co. Ltd. and our foundation, those failing to comply with the safety rules (especially points 3–8 and 12–15) will have to leave the site immediately. For accidents or damages resulting from breach of the safety rules, those not following the instructions assume full legal and financial responsibility.

General rules


1. The visitor enters the railway shop site at his/her own risk. For possible injuries or damages of the visitor's property, neither the operator of the site nor our foundation assumes liability; the visitor waives any reimbursement claims against the foundation and the operator of the works site.
   
2. The visitor assumes full responsibility for minors under his/her supervision.
   
3. Visitors have to follow, beyond the rules listed here, any further instruction given by the foundation's attendants.
   
4. Smoking and consuming or entering with alcoholic beverages is strictly forbidden at the railway shop site! Drunken visitors will not be allowed to enter.
   
   Traffic at the works site
   
   
5. Visitors are allowed to move within the works site only along marked walkways, under supervision of the attendant.
   
6. Occasional shunting movements of railway stock take place at the works site, therefore, care must be taken while crossing tracks.
   
7. Uncovered pits, located in and in front of the locomotive shed, require special attention. Entering them and, especially, climbing under rolling stock placed above the pits is strictly forbidden! This applies to the turntable, too, whose pit should not be approached more than 1m. Also, the turntable itself should not be entered by visitors!
   
8. Aside from the locomotive of the foundation, no other vehicle stored at the works site should be entered or climbed onto! Visitors are allowed to leave the area next to the locomotive only under supervision of the attendant.

9. With its prime mover standing still, the driver's cabs and the engine room of the locomotive can be entered at the visitors' own risk, under supervision of an attendant. Please watch out for low doors and obstacles on the walkways of the engine room. Do not touch controls/instruments in the driver's cabs and in the engine room!
   
10. Climbing ont othe side walls or the nose of the locomotive is dangerous and forbidden!
    
11. One attendant can be accompanied into the locomotive by not more than three further persons.
    
    Rules regarding the working locomotive
    
    ATTENTION! WHILE THE PRIME MOVER IS WORKING, APPROACHING THE LOCOMOTIVE WITHOUT CARE AND ENTERING THE ENGINE ROOM WITHOUT FOLLOWING THE SAFETY RULES IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS! VISITORS FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE WORKS SITE WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT!
    
    
12. Entering the locomotive with its prime mover working is allowed only by permission!
    
13. Entering the engine room while the prime mover is running is hazardous and forbidden! Upon special request, visitors may enter the engine room – one person at a time – through the access door at the middle of the side walls, strictly following all instructions given by the attending personnel.
    
14. Entering or leaving the moving locomotive is hazardous and forbidden!
    
15. Movements of railway vehicles require special attention! A minimal distance of 1m must be kept from the sides of a moving railway vehicle at all times! Prior to the standing locomotive beginning to move, the attendant controlling the movement (wearing a high visibility jacket) will give a sound signal. Hereafter, visitors have to clear the area behind and ahead of the locomotive, keeping a minimal distance of 2m to the rails.
    

Never forget the rule of thumb: railway operations are dangerous! The locomotive driver has no simultaneous sight in all directions, and the brake path can be several meters long even at the lowest velocity! It is of utmost importance that aside from the motion of the foundation's locomotive, visitors have to pay attention to other vehicles, too, as these can begin moving at any time. Therefore, visitors should enter the clearance of the tracks only while crossing them.
