Before sending us business inquiries please note:
Our association is a non-profit railway preservation society. Our activities are focusing on keeping our own vintage NOHAB-GM motive power in working order to present it to the railway enthusiast community. Therefore, we do not manufacture or sell NOHAB Polar or EMD engines or spare parts, please do not ask for price quotations. We may, however, be able to help other small operators, preservation societies or museum railways by sharing repair or operation experience or relevant mechanical data.

Thank you for your understanding.

Visiting the locomotive

The locomotive of our foundation, former M61-010, is stored in the former locomotive shed of Budapest East station, at the site of G. Tim-Co. Ltd., where it can be visited free of charge during our open days. A free visit can be arranged at other times as well – in this case, please contact us concerning the timing of your visit.

Also, the empty carbody of M61-002, purchased by our foundation in March 2005, can be seen at the site of G. Tim-Co. Ltd. However, due to its poor technical state, it is not safe to enter the carbody.
The site of G. Tim-Co. Ltd. can be accessed at the end of Dózsa György út near “Budapest Sportarena,” entrance to the site is next to the ÖMV gas station. Please read our safety instructions prior to your visit! Visitors, especially those arriving at Budapest East Station, are asked not to approach the site crossing the station's tracks. This is forbidden and – regarding the heavy railway traffic of the station – extremely hazardous!
